Dockflow — Search/track ocean containers
Last updated: March 9, 2026
This privacy policy describes how the Dockflow app for ChatGPT ("the App") collects, uses, and handles data when you use the container search functionality.
1. What the App Does
The App provides a single tool — container search — that allows you to look up ocean container tracking information by entering a container number. The App returns shipping logistics data such as port names, estimated departure/arrival dates, and tradeflow references.
2. Data We Collect
When you use the App, the following data is processed:
| Data | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Container number search query | Text input | To search for matching containers in the Dockflow platform |
| OAuth authentication token | Session credential | To authenticate your Dockflow account |
We do not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number) through tool interactions
- Conversation history or chat transcripts
- Location data (GPS, IP-based geolocation)
- Device information or browser fingerprints
- Payment or financial information
3. Data We Return
The container search tool returns the following data categories:
- Container identifiers: container number, tradeflow ID, tradeflow reference
- Shipping schedule: estimated departure date (ETD), estimated arrival date (ETA)
- Port information: port of loading name, port of discharge name
No user-related or personally identifiable information is included in tool responses.
4. How We Use Your Data
- Search queries are used solely to retrieve matching container records from the Dockflow platform. They are not stored, analyzed, or used for any other purpose.
- Authentication tokens are used to verify that you have a valid Dockflow account.
5. Data Sharing
Your data is processed by Dockflow Core API (our own backend service) to execute the container search. We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties.
6. Data Retention
- Search queries: Not retained. Queries are processed in real-time and discarded after the response is returned.
- Authentication tokens: Valid for the duration of your session only. Tokens are not stored by the App beyond the active request.
7. Data Security
All communication between the App and Dockflow servers uses TLS 1.2 or later encryption.
8. Your Rights and Controls
- Stop using the App: You can stop using the Dockflow app at any time. No persistent data is stored, so no deletion is necessary.
- Account deletion: To delete your Dockflow account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
