Two-Factor Login and Google or Microsoft Sign-In
Both settings are optional and apply to your own account only. You manage them on the Security page of the Dockflow console.
If you sign in with an email link and never set a password, the Security page asks you to set one first. You need it to confirm these changes.
Turn on two-factor login
- Open the Security page.
- Enter your password and select Set up.
- Scan the code with an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and select Turn on.
- Save the recovery key in a safe place. It is shown only once.
Turning this on signs you out everywhere except the page you are on, including the Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot connectors. Sign in to them again afterwards.
From then on, Dockflow asks for a code each time you sign in with your password or an email link. Signing in with a linked Google or Microsoft account does not ask for it.
Use your recovery key
If you do not have your authenticator app, enter the recovery key on the code page instead of a code. Each recovery key works once. Dockflow then shows you a new one, so save it.
If you have lost both your app and your recovery key, contact [email protected]. After a reset you receive an email, and you can set up two-factor login again.
Turn off two-factor login
On the Security page, enter a code from your app or your recovery key and select Turn off.
Sign in with Google or Microsoft
Link your account first. The sign-in buttons do not work for an account that is not linked.
- Open the Security page.
- Enter your password, or your code if two-factor login is on.
- Select Link next to Google or Microsoft and sign in there.
You can then use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft on the Dockflow login page. These sign-ins do not ask for your two-factor code, so turn on two-step verification in your Google or Microsoft account too. Dockflow stores only the account's identifier and email address.
Switch off password and email-link sign-in
After linking an account, you can select Switch off so that only Google or Microsoft can sign you in. This signs you out of your other sessions. You cannot unlink your last linked account while this is off, so select Switch back on first.
Good to know
- API keys keep working when you turn on two-factor login.
- Dockflow emails you when these settings change. If you did not make a change, contact [email protected] immediately.
- After five wrong codes, you must wait 15 minutes before trying again.
